SAP Analytics cloud (SAC) Planning on material group dimension

Hi Sap folks,

The client has a requirement to plan sales and expense data in SAP Analytics cloud (SAC) planning at the the following levels:-

Company code/profit center/GL account/material group dimensions/ Fiscal year and month.

Currently the sales are booked at material level through SD module. Expenses (such as admin exp) are booked at the GL level and not at the further material group level.

Since the business would want to plan sales and expenses for next year at the material group level, hence it is required for the business to get the actuals of sales and expenses of the previous year at the material group level.

Below are the questions

1. What is the best way of adding a non financial dimension such as material group to ACDOCP, since planning is performed at this level without impacting ACDOCA.

2. Since expense allocation at brand level doesn't happen in s4hana system for actuals. How would you generally handle this in sac planning projects? Should this be handled through GL Allocation using FAGLGA31 in s/4hana or should this get allocated in sac planning system ?

Regards

Gavin.

Dear gavin2160,

the Integrated Financial Planning business content should fit to your requirements.
It allows you to perform sales planning on plant and product level, this data will then be used in the product cost planning which offers the possibility to transfer activity quantities and manufacturing overhead costs to operating expense planning.

Please have a look into our SAP Help portal for more details.

For guidance regarding adding custom fields to ACDOCP, please have a look at Adding New Dimensions or Measures for Custom Fields.

Best regards
Susanne
