Hi All,
i have in a BEy Query a "running sum" for one measure.
In the analysis OlAP it is after import only a field sum.
who knows what have i to do to make a running sum in this analysis OLAP?
A second question
The Measures are in Rows. I have 4 Measures and i wants for each measures make a color for each measures row. is there a way to do this?
Thanks for any ideas and helps
br Harry
Hello Harald,
Regarding your second question, are you wanting to colour the measure rows to aid readability or is the colour related to conditional formatting (exceptions)? For example, do you want to colour the "Sales" measure brown or do you want to colour the "Sales" measure red because sales dropped below a defined value?
Analysis OLAP does not add colour for "cosmetic" reasons. We have a deliberate limited palette of colours because the colours must add value/augment the numbers. So we have colours like green (good), yellow (caution), red (bad or hot), blue (cold) etc... but not brown, for example, because brown has no meaning.
You use the conditional formatting feature to define this. Right click on the measure name and choose "Conditional Formatting" from the context menu.
If you want to colour all the cells in a row, set the condition to be a value that will always be achieved ( eg less than 999,999,999,999).
Please refer to the Analysis OLAP user guide for details how to view different colour palettes or use symbols instead of colours.

It is not working for all fields in the line. I have to do it in this case for every fields. But i can't it is crazy
The running sum is in Olap and Excel Analysis wrong. The Function "running sum" working incorrect.

Hi All,
i found becouse the running sum in OLAP and Excel Analysis is wrong.
In Bex Query i can make a running sum for row or col. In my case is it col then it works fine.
In Analysis OLAP i have not a switch and the running sum is static for row.
The Analysis OLAP and Analysis Excel need this switch Row or Col than user want to select what sum he needs. In BEx Query the User can Switch Row or Col

Hello Harald
Regarding the wrong numbers in the running totals, please contact customer support. Confirm that you are seeing the same behaviour in both Analysis Office and Analysis OLAP. Typically this is a strong indicator that that the issue lies with the BICS (BI Consumer Services) area.
