Success stories and references for SAP on AMAZON Cloud EC2

Hi All,

Didn't find a better place to ask this question so here it goes:

We have played with Amazon Cloud EC2 and we have some servers running in there. On the SAP front, we have only played with NSP (ABAP sneak preview).

I understand EC2 is not a reliable solution for PRODUCTION instances, but has anyone deployed DEV and QA instances in Amazon Ec2 cloud? If so, could you please provide some info on how it went, problems if you had, etc?

We are about to propose that for a customer of ours.

Hi Leonardo,

SAP has recently certified first solutions for the Amazon cloud including SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions and SAP Business Objects Solutions

After loosing all data in ec2, we redeployed DEV & QA on EC2. The key is schedule your back ups on time and have multipe virtual images, just in case one image has an issue. you should be fine.
