SAC supported BW on HANA 7.5 application & DB level objects

Hi,

Can someone please let me know what kind of BW on HANA 7.5 objects can be accessed from SAC with live & imported data connection ? I am not able find any relevant document in SAP help portal

BW application level objects -

Bex queries

Info providers

BW HANA level objects -

Calculation views

BW Info providers generated Hana views

BW ADSO active & change log tables

HANA tables

Hello venky999,

SAC live connection can consume BW queries (or BEx queries). Other objects are not visible to SAC. You can create CDS views in BW and have them consumed in SAC as well. Though, BW queries are more feasible options when it comes to BW.

Again HANA CV need to be mapped to ADSO and then BW query before data can be consumed in SAC (import or live).

Please find my comments to your point below

BW application level objects -

• Bex queries Yes(import or live connection to SAC)
• Info providers No

BW HANA level objects -

• Calculation views Yes and No (only consumed via CDS or BW Query for BW connection type, You can consume CV via direct HANA live connection in SAC )
• BW Info providers generated Hana views No (need BW query on top of infoprovider)
• BW ADSO active & change log tables No (Active data via BW query can be accessed in SAC)
• HANA table Yes & No (BW live connection requires BW query, HANA live connection can consume HANA tables though)

Note: If you are planning to consume BW-HANA views directly in SAC, make sure you license agreement is as per Enterprise HANA contract. In most of the cases BW on HANA and BW/4HANA contract allow backend HANA view consumption via SAP systems (like SAC)

I am not able to find SAP notes/documents that states BW info providers/BW generated HANA views access in SAC not possible with live/acquired data connection.

You can consume BW generated HANA views in SAC. You need to make sure to use HANA connection instead of BW connection. As when you use BW connection, SAC looks for BW Queries and CDS instead of CV's. This is what I mentioned in my reply "note"
