relationship between SAP PI core licenses and the physical server cores?

I want to know the relationship between SAP PI core licenses and the physical PI server cores. Is it 1 to 1 match ?

eg : 2 SAP PI core licenses = 2 cores in the server

AFAIK it should be number of CPUs,so 2 in your case.

But contact SAP once on this.

SAP has confirmed that there should be 2 licencing cores for 2 physical cores.
