Infrastructure DevOps for SAP BOBI or BODS?

I'm managing clusters of SAP BOBI and BODS systems which consist of many Windows server and much more manual task when it comes to provisioning or upgrading the system version. I used to work with Containerized technology with GitOps/IaC and I wonder that why we don't have those quality of life utilizing DevOps for automated infrastructure provisioning or upgrade. So far do you guys have any experiences trying to automate the provisioning for BOBI or BODS servers?

Hello Tar,

Well, if you just want to provision the Windows Server instance for BODS only, then Terraform/Opentofu is enough. Technically, the Windows server instance for BODS is similar to other kinds of server, and nothing more.

But if you try to have BODS as the container, then it's a different story. IMO, you can do it, but the container size will become very large and it's not good solution any more. Furthermore, I'm not sure SAP will support you in that case.
