Hello,

I am performing an installation of ECC 6.0 with EHP8, on Windows Server 2016 with MS SQL 2016.

The installation completes fine, with the following error being presented during the import stage:

I could not locate the log file that it references, however as reported here: https://answers.sap.com/questions/643910/not-all-packages-ar-loaded-during-import-abap-phas.html and with other posts it seems that the error can be ignored.

Having done that the installation has completed, however in SPAM the following add-ons show as not being installed:

How can I get these add on's installed? I also seem to be unable to sync the system with Maintenance Planner.

Hi,

Can you provide the latest log file during import phase. Is this on windows/Linux?

I basically want to see the latest log in your tool path under

/tmp/sapinst_instdir

Kind Regards,
Johan

Hi,

Do you have anything in this path:

C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir

If you do scroll down in as far as you can in subdirectories, and in last one, please add sapinst.log sapinst_dev.log files

Kind Regards,
JOhan

Hi,

Can you locate the package_checker.log or something similar in path
C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\BS2016\ERP608\MSS\INSTALL\STD\ABAP ?

Are any of the tool URL's still actively doing anything?

Kind Regards,
Johan

Hello All,

Thank you all for your inputs it has been much appriciated, one of our Basis team members had a look at the system and has advised that the addons listed in SPAM can be ignored and has removed them from the queue.

It would seem that they would have been imported if the SAP system was configured with a HANA database only.

Hello,

Glad to know your issue is resolved.

But I would just like you to correct on your statement "It would seem that they would have been imported if the SAP system was configured with a HANA database only." You have installed ERP 6.0 EHP 08 IDES on SQL, even if you have installed ERP 6.0 EHP 08 on HANA that add-on you see won't be imported because it is for S/4HANA (SoH and S/4HANA are different).

Software component remains same for both ERP 6.0 EHP 08 on SQL IDES and ERP 6.0 EHP 08 on HANA IDES.

How this add-on even visible in SPAM is still a mystery (may be issue with IDES media).

Regards,

Dennis.

Hello Sharanpal,

Have you checked the pdf attached in SAP Note 2432361 - IDES ERP 6.0 incl. EHP8. It provides the list of software component that are part of IDES ERP 6.0 EHP8. Kindly compare with yours.

I could not see S4CORE being included in the installation for which you have shown the pre-requisites set. I think you have installed IDES for ERP 6.0 EHP8 not S/4HANA IDES

Dennis.

Hi Dennis,

Correct I have seen the SNOTE,

My issue is the addons not being installed, I have installed IDES for ERP 6.0 EHP8 not S/4HANA IDES.

I have download the IDES Package from MarketPace using the steps given

-> Installations and Upgrades
-> A - Z Index
-> E -> SAP ERP
-> SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE
-> EHP8 FOR SAP ERP 6.0
-> IDES Version

-> Platform

-> Microsoft Windows -> Microsoft SQL-Server

I am therefore not sure why S4CORE is being marked as being required.

Unless SAP have the IDES wrong.. all the packages seem to be version 800 which i am pretty sure is for HANA

Sunny

Hello,

I think it might be an error but have you encountered any puzzled behavior in the functionality while using the system. I think you can raise message to SAP asking why you are seeing S4CORE add-on even though you have installed IDES on SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 08. I think there won't be any reference of S4CORE in any other table. Have you checked CVERS table (which keeps the information of all installed product in the system)?

All package version of EA-PS, EA-DFPS etc will be 618 which is required for SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 08 which might have been installed in your system as well. S4CORE which requires package version 800 for all the aforesaid packages, due to which it is not fulling the prerequisite.

Dennis.

Hi Dennis,

I think you are correct, based on the document version-IDES-EhP8.pdf (attached to SAP Note 2432361) the installed versions are not the expected ones.

Sunny

Hello Sharanpal,

Also if you check the legend in SPAM, icon represent software component is not installed. So I think there is nothing to worry and be sure by checking CVERS table. And if you find this convincing, it will be good if you close second thread you have just opened where you are asking the same thing.

Regards,

Dennis.
