How we can set-up high availability for SAP content Server system on GCP

Our SAP content server (7.53) system is using MaxDB database and we are using Red Hat Linux OS.
We would like to set-up High Availability for this system. Please suggest step by step configuration details considering the fact that our servers are provisioned on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Hello,

general MaxDB HA topics are discussed in SAP help portal: Replication and High Availability | SAP Help Portal

HotStandby solution described there is only available for few platforms, and it is not available on RedHat Linux.

Most simple and cheap solution is implementing of data replication using standby database. This can be done with new MaxDB feature, auto log recovery (s. SAP Note 3066314 - SAP MaxDB: Introduction of automatic log recovery function - SAP ONE Support Launchpad).

Some cloud providers developed HA solutions running on top of cluster solution. An example can be found for AWS and SuSE Linux: SAP Content Server High Availability using Amazon EFS and SUSE | AWS for SAP.

However, this kind of solutions is out of scope of SAP MaxDB responsibility, as it is running on top of providers solution.
