Former Member

Hi,

I have external definitions for source and destinations structures in XSD fromat

in my local system. I want to upload them to XI software component to use them in

message mapping.

How to upload them into XI(external definitions) under 'interface objects' of the

software component?

Thanks,

Srinivas

Go to External Definitions under Interface Objects , Righ Click NEW - give name, make type as XSD and import it into XI.

As simple as that! Did you try this?

Or, you can create the object and go the object, select the import XSD button then select the XSD..

But, what Bhavesh has mentioned would be the better choice to go with.

Hi,

Do we need to create data types, if we use external definitions?

what is the purpose of external definitions?

Hi Naren kumar,

suppose we have xsd structure No need to creat the data type and message.

what is the purpose of external definitions?

If a description of the message structure already exists. you can use it in the ES repository by inporting it as an external definition rather then re entering it manually using the data type editor.

Thanks and regards,
