Exception aggregation on levels in hierarchy

Hi all,

I have a question, which I'm not really sure whether it can be solved in Bex Query Designer. However I hope it's possible.

The issue is the following:

A new customer is somebody who buys a specific material for the first time.
At the lowest level (material) I have solved it in BW where the measure is calculated and this is working correct.

Whenever a specific end user buys something for the first time he will get a 1.

Now the issue is for the hierarchy levels.

A user can only be in 1 month for a specific hierarchy level a new user.
But as the hierarchy is a sum of the materials, the same enduser will be in more months a new customer.

For example the hierarchy ending on T4:

- The value 1 for 03.2012 is correct

- The value in 05.2012 is incorrect and it should be empty, now the 1 is coming from material 900566.

At the highest level (ending on T) only a 1 should be displayed for month 03.2012 and not for the others.

I thought it would be possible to solve by performing exception aggregation "first" on calendar month.
However this is not working for the hierarchy levels, so the result stays the same.

Has someone an idea how this can be solved?

If it can be handled in SAP BW anyhow, this would also be nice!

Thanks in advance.
