Connecting to server

I have just installed Design Studio 16.4.2 on my machine.

As per the tutorials, I was to be asked for the logon information to the BO server when I was going to run the Design Studio application for the first time.

But the logon dialogue box didn't appear, instead application started.

Now when I have created a new 'Application' in it, I am unable to connect to any data source.

Any answers ??

Hi - please check your preferences; go to Tools > Preferences - it sounds like it is defaulting to local, and should point to the BI platform.

Hi Tammy,

It worked last time.

When I opened the client today, nothing loaded well, the client tool hanged instead. I deleted the Analysis Workspace and Analysis config file from the computer. The client started well after, but preference was set to local mode. I tried changing but BI platform was not an option.
