Cloud Foundry Trial: SAP HANA Schemas & HDI Containers (Trial) service instance creation failed

Hello,

I'm using SAP HANA Cloud Foundry trial account and trying to create hdi-shared container service instance for test uses.

I've repeatedly got following result: Instance with the status: "Creation failed".

Also, same result I had from command string cloud foundry command.

cf create-service hanatrial hdi-shared myhana

I had a message: "Failed to open connection to the database, because of: Failed to get connection for database '4e7659f0-cbae-4064-afb7-12f9d2b21ec8:trialdb01' (jdbc:sap://10.253.93.93:30041), because of: Data receive failed [Read timed out (local port 51608 to address 10.239.0.6 (cf86c5de-d46a-4846-75f7-c695), remote port 30041 to address 10.253.93.93 (ip-10-253-93-93.eu-central-1.compute.internal))]"

What steps should I do to create service or get additional details on this issue?

Thank you

Update on this problem: I've asked this question on the local SAP training for partners and was proposed to use following workaround: create database service and connectors in NEO environments and use if in Cloud Foundry applications, but I haven't tried this approach yet

Hello Sergey,

I'm just tagging along with you, having the same problem in the trial account.

Hello All,

I am getting similar issues. Can anyone tell what causes this issue?

The 'HelloWorld_ha-hdi' service instance is in a 'failed' state.

Failed to open connection to the database, because of: Failed to get connection for database 'e6026924-26fe-4e80-8923-882e161cda37' (e6026924-26fe-4e80-8923-882e161cda37.hana.canary-eu10.hanacloud.ondemand.com:443),

because of: SAP DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to jdbc:sap://e6026924-26fe-4e80-8923-882e161cda37.hana.canary-eu10.hanacloud.ondemand.com:443 [Object is closed: com.sap.db.jdbc.SecureChannelSession@10c38da9 e6026924-26fe-4e80-8923-882e161cda37.hana.canary-eu10.hanacloud.ondemand.com:443 ConnectionID:0 SessionID:0 on sun.nio.ch.UnixAsynchronousSocketChannelImpl[connected local=/10.134.146.112:56864 remote=e6026924-26fe-4e80-8923-882e161cda37.hana.canary-eu10.hanacloud.ondemand.com/18.192.188.111:443]].

Hi Lucia,

I still have this issue today. I am not in trial account. I am in canary account.

Hi, Sa, I would open an internal incident for Canary.
