Authentication Prcoedures for global portal

Which Authentication Prcoedures is good for global portal? I am thinking of 'Using Anonymous Logon to Access the Portal'.

Can you please add your thought.

This global portal will be used as frontend for SRM .

global portal

what means a global portal for you? Internet, Intranet, company portal? If it is a CP, the employees want to access personal data? In this case, you'll go with:

1. Anonymous to display general data

2. Logon so that the users can interact with the SAP system

frontend for SRM

As a frontend for SRM, your suppliers may need access to anonymous information, but certainly will also need to log on to the portal. You can use the same approach as above. You could have a portal that needs a logon (userID, certificate) to ensure that only authorized persons can access the portal.

But this depends on your end-users and on what you really want and need to publish.
