SAP has delivered the latest version 2024.1 of SAP Datasphere on Jan 9, 2024.
1 You can now access the _SYS_BI schema views. Analyze Monitoring Data in a Space
You need a monitoring space which should be SAP_ADMIN space. This space is dedicated to the pre-configured monitoring views provided as business content by SAP via the Content Network. You need to se the SAP Monitoring Content Space (SAP_ADMIN) to import SAP delivered content to monitor your SAP Datasphere tenant and then enable access to SAP Monitoring Content Space. _SYS_BI schema views can be accessed with the new version 2024.1
2 The new privilege Data Warehouse Runtime with the Read permission allows users of the View Analyzer to download the generated SQL analyzer plan file. Privileges and Permissions
New privilege Data Warehouse Runtime can be found under DW Viewer role and the Read permission allows users of the View Analyzer to download the generated SQL analyzer plan file. Even though the Execute permission seems to be enabled it’s not in use! Don’t use it!
1 In addition to the data persistence simulation, the View Analyzer now offers the possibility to generate an SQL analyzer plan file that you can download for further analysis. Exploring Views with View Analyzer
You can use the View Analyzer to explore graphical or SQL views. The View Analyzer provides you with statistics and useful information on each entity that composes your view.
2 When scheduling a new task in the Data Integration Monitor, or elsewhere in SAP Datasphere, users can now specify a frequency for scheduled runs in minutes, in addition to hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly intervals. Schedule a Data Integration Task
You can define your scheduling options with minutes how often per hour that you want to trigger the scheduled run during the designated time or date range. You can specify scheduled runs every 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes.
3 You can now define the length of the delta interval for replication flows with load type Initial and Delta. Configure Your Replication Flow
You can select the relevant load type for your replication flow. Initial Only: Load all selected data once. Initial and Delta: After the initial load, the system checks for source data changes (delta) at regular intervals and copies the changes to the target. That’s good feature definitely!
1 The import of SAP BW/4HANA models is now integrated in the Import Entities wizard, which can be accessed from the Data Builder and the Repository Explorer. With the import via the Import Entities wizard, you can now also import InfoProviders besides analytic queries. Importing Entities with Semantics from SAP BW∕4HANA or SAP BW Bridge
2 When you delete records in a local table that is delta capture enabled, records take the value “change type = deleted” but they are not physically deleted from the database to allow running flows that can transfer the deletion information to further targets. Once they have been fully processed, you can safely delete these records within a task chain or a using the Delete Data from Table in the Data Builder. Load or Delete Local Table Data and Creating a Task Chain
In the case of a table that is not delta enabled, you can delete all data. In case your table is delta capture enabled, you can choose between 2 options: delete all records or delete all fully-processed records with change type “Deleted”.
3 You can now use the Data Editor to find and replace data in a local table Maintain Local Table Data
You can find and replace string values that aren’t key columns or delta table columns.
4 If your remote table consumes parameterized HANA SQL views using SAP HANA smart data access as source, the parameters are displayed with their properties in the table editor. Review and Edit Imported Table Properties
You must enter a value for each input parameter to preview data.
5 When one or more packages is available in your space, modelers can now add further types of objects to a package directly from the relevant editor: Data Flow, Replication Flow, Transformation Flow, Task Chain, Intelligent Lookup. Packages
The Modelers can freely update objects that are assigned to a package though they may not change the package assignment. When changes to an object are made, the status of the package is changed to Changes to Export. The Space Administrator can choose to export the new changes at any time, either overwriting the current version or creating a new version in the Content Network.
