Existing users who are familiar with BEx Analyzer will find the transition to Analysis relatively smooth. With a familiar MS Office UI, comprehensive feature set and overall improved design, unlocking value out of your enterprise DWH should be made even easier.

Below are the screenshots that shows the look and feel in terms  between Bex and AO and also shows to login to AO.

Initial screen once open the respective tool as below:

Once click on the below options, it allows to connect to the respective system:

Once connected to the system, then open the query and the tool asks for the Prompt/Variable screen as shown below. once the prompt values are given click on the OK button. hari_prasad1_2-1723665672114.png

We are done with look and feel of AO, now lets go with Migration of WB from BW to BI platform.

Migrating Analysis for Office Workbooks from BW to BI Platform:

We are in process of moving a lot of Analysis for Office (AfO) workbooks from a SAP BW environment to the SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform.
Open the workbook you want to migrate, connect to the BW system and refresh the WB. Display the Design Panel, go to the Components tab and select your workbook. Right-click to Log Off.

Now right-click the workbook again. Select Replace System.

now see the Replace System menu, where you can select a new system.

Initially this only shows the SAP systems that are defined in your SAP Logon. Click the button in the left bottom corner to login to the BI Platform.

Now the OLAP connections from the BI Platform are also selectable. Choose the connection you want to use.

now select the data source  in the Components tab you’ll see the new System Alias.

Now you can Refresh the workbook and/or Save it to the BI Platform.

Now login to the BI Launchpad of respective system and locate the report and schedule the same.
