SRM Landscape & MDM Catalogue

Hello Experts,

I am new to SRM system. I have read the lot of document and Blog, but need more information.

We have already installed the SRM ABAP stack (EHP4 of SRM 7.0 with SP 12). We have the requirement of SRM EBP, SUS functionality. We have created the 2 Client in system, One client for EBP & Second Client for SUS.

Have following query and need your expert advice on SRM Landscape.

1. Is it compulsory or necessary to install the SRM JAVA stack separately? If not how to access the SUS & EBP?

2. SAP MDM server can be install on separate system, but where to deploy SRM MDM catalogue component? Any additional system or hardware is required?

Hi,

the catalog SCAs can be deployed either on the SRM JAVA stack or on a separate JAVA stack.

You also have to install an MDM Server and some MDM clients to manage your repositories.
