Help on IS-VMS

Helo all,

We are working on a persuit, where we have to present an artifact on Vehicle management system. Basics are available on SAP. But can anybody suggest a good source to study a cycle (mainly distribution-vehicle movements) in VMS and its mapping with standard SAP. (Specifically stuk in case of how actions happening in VMS are mapped in background standard SAP).

Any study material / pdfs / other sources would be very usefull.

( Working first time in Auto solutions, so elaborate material would be of great help)

This link would explain you about Action Control from ERP perspective.

This is also a good documentation for someone who starts fresh in IS-A-VMS.

Hi Yudi,

As you know in help.sap.com SAP provides a clear explanation of the

Vehcile management system (VMS) .

About the actions in VMS , each action in VMS will call standard BAPIs

for processing . For example :- if we are creating a purchase order

we will perform ORD1 action in VELO screen this will inturn call

BAPI_PO_CREATE1' . We confirm this in ABAP code , check function

modules VELO09_SET_ACTION_INTERN -> VELO10_ORD1_EXECUTE

->BAPI_PO_CREATE1'
