In this article I would like to share a tiny tip to prevent calculation errors on the CPQ iron python script workbench. We typically expect the decimal output while dividing smaller value by greater value. For example: when dividing 2 by 3, we expect the result to be 0.66... However, in the CPQ python workbench, it is recommended to include ".0" after the numerator when performing such calculations. Instead of using 2/3, it is advised to use 2.0/3. By following this recommendation, you can avoid receiving 0 as the result in your CPQ python workbench
otherwise, you receive 0 as your result in the CPQ python workbench.
