Define Company ?

A company is the smallest organizational unit for which individual financial statements can be drawn up according to the relevant commercial law. A company can contain one or more company codes.

Note. You cannot use the prefix SAP at the beginning of your company name.

SPRO -> SAP REFERENCE IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Financial Accounting -> Define Company (OX15) -> Execute -> New Entries

Define Company Code ?

It Represents the legal entity of the organization. Company code is defined a legal entity level.

We can able to post the financial transactions, tracking and analysis the transaction at the company code level.

The book of accounts can be maintained at the company code level.

The financial statement like profit and loss A/C, balance sheet can be extract at the company code level

Company codes can be defined maximum Up to 4digit code either numeric or Alpha numeric codes.

RELI                     RLSM-Reliance Smart

RELI                     RLDG-Reliance Digital

RELI                     RLOL-Reliance Oil

SPRO -> SAP REFERENCE IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Financial Accounting -> Edit, Copy, Delete, Check Company Code (OX02) -> Execute -> Edit Company Code -> New Entries

ASSIGN COMPANY CODE TO COMPANY:

SPRO -> SAP REFERENCE IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Financial Accounting -> Assign company code to company (OX16) -> Assign Company (RELI) to Company Codes (RLSM,RLDG,RLOL)
