AFC integration with S4Hana Public Cloud

Greetings,

We are facing an issue where AFC doesn't appear to be communicating with our S4Hana Public Cloud tenant. We are able to create closing templates and task lists in both AFC and S4, however, none of the templates or tasks that we create in AFC show up in S4 and vice versa.

Our understanding is that when you create a Closing Template in one system, you should be able to also see that template in the other system. Also, as users complete closing tasks, those updates should show up in both systems. Is that the expected behavior?

We have confirmed that the connection between the two systems is working. Could the issues be related to business roles? If I create a closing template or task list in AFC, shouldn't that also appear in the S4 tenant?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

How are you? I have excluded the Tag "SAP S/4HANA Cloud" and included the Tag "SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Finance" for this question, as Financial Closing is a Process related to Finance Line of Business.

Dear Barry,

I think you are mixing things. It sounds like that you either get confused with SAP AFC at BTP and SAP S/4HANA Financial Closing cockpit and / or with SAP AFC which was part of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition. So which one you are actually using. SAP S/4HANA Cloud for advanced financial closing at BTP https://help.sap.com/docs/advanced-financial-closing is the current one and future strategic direction! The one and only.

All the mentioned product have got their own functionality and DON`T replicate / synchronize anything into one of the other once!

SAP AFC (at BTP) is a public cloud solution and you use the SAP AFC Fiori Launchpad to manage the template, generate a task list for a certain month end closing. The template can be connected to different SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA Cloud (private or private edition) systems in order to run e.g. jobs. For more details see online mentioned above
