Hi PP Gurus,

What is the functionality of Long Text in Production Order TAB?

If i want to assign word/Excel file in long text Tab to Order it is not getting attached so wat is d functionality of Local File TAB?

Can nybody throw some light on it?

Hi,

Long text is used to input the detail for any transaction

In production order, there are 2 options for inputting the long text.

1. directly go the the long text tab page and inout the text.

For uploading the local file (note pad files) select the option local file.

2. Next to the order number there is an icon . select it and copy the complete file of any format. come back and this will be reflected in the long text tab page.

In production order long text basically you can write the operations instructions of the machines and some other informations also about materails and machine maintenence.

As per my knowledge, this will not allow us to attach any word and excel file directly. We can only attach text files or texts.
