How to shorten spool for a report?

Hello All,

I have a COPA report which when we run in foreground, provides a detailed summary. We can use different parameters to draw down various combination reports. But when we run this in background, it generates so many pages of spool giving all possible combination.

This is a report created based on KE30.

How can I make my spool report just as the detailed summary I get in foreground run ?

The solution is specific to each report generating a spool. So tell us which report the question is about.

Assuming one of KE30 reports is being scheduled in background.

I tried KE3Q where variant can be defined for background run but did not find a way to assign one of saved report Layouts in the selection.

So I do not have exact answer but a suggestion is you may have to copy the report, adjust characteristics, output type, sorting such that the report displayed is exactly the output you need from background job. OR try a form based report rather than a drill down report.
