hi,

i have only ONE field that has a formatted search,

but a want to get the object type of the document,

for example.

if i am in a A/R Invoice, i want to get some value (i.e. OINV)

if i am in a A/P Invoice , i want to get some value (i.e. OPCH)

That is the only identifier to distinguish the document. All FMS have to be set per document even if you have the same query. This common logic might cause your system slow down and error prone.

Hi,

You may get the object type by ObjType field. However, it is not available by UI. Therefore, you may only get it after the document has been saved.

but if i want to get any other field that can indentify in what document i am, ....but before i saved it...

what field could it be?.

.....but it has to be use in a formatted search in one unique field for all the documents.
