Hi All,
We have configured free goods - Exclusive - and record is maintained in VBN1 such that for every 2 items( TAN ) there is 1 free item (TANN) which is different from the main item
Now in the sales order, during availability check we want to ensure that both the main item and the free item show the same material available date ( MAD ) even when there is a partial delivery so that we make sure that every time 2 main items are shipped it moves out only with the free item automatically.
Please revert with your valuable suggestions.

Hi
You can make use of delivery groups for this functionality.

Hi,
In the VBN1, while creating the records, in the last column, there is option for delivery of the free goods item. Here you can configure as per your requirement.
The other option is, to check the option of DELIVERY GROUP in the sales order. Since this has to be done everytime we create the order, the first option is more useful.
Thanks,
Ravi Sankar

Thanks for your valuable suggestions. However, we have tried all the options of the last column in VBN1, but still the main item and the free item is showing different schedule line dates / available dates.
As for the delivery group setting, am not able to find this field in the sales order. Please guide me
Regards,
Tom
Great...Looks like this will work.
Right now against the item category TAN, there is no delivery group checked. So will do it and revert back.
However, in my sales order, on reviewing past documents there has been some cases where the two items have been delivery together only. In all these cases, we observe in the SHIPPING tab, a delivery group ' 1' has picked up. Can you please tell from where and how is this being fetched (or) is it manually created - yet i feel it should have been defined somewhere else.
Early response will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Tom.
