Hi experts,
is it possible to open the field BSEG-MENGE for editing in FB02?
If so: how can we do it?
Background: Some postings were done with the wrong quantity by an automated process.
Thanks.
HI,
As 507508 described in the SAP Note, the change of BSEG-MENGE is not possible in standard.
Field BSEG-MENGE can no longer be changed with document update with FB02. Field BSEG-MENGE has a special rule: it must not be changed if controlling CO is active. (because document
update is not passed on to CO. thus, a change to the quantity with active CO will cause inconsistency)
To ensure data consistency and integrity, amount and quantity fields are not allowed to be changed in transaction FB02. if you still like to change you can reverse and repost the journal if the quantity or amount was entered incorrectly. There is no standard tool in SAP which allows a change in the quantity field.

Hi Ravinagh,
thanks for your answer.
The situation is as follows: We have the correct quantity in the associated purchase order and the EKBE entries also show the correct quantities.
It is only the entry on the generated BSEG line that shows the incorrect quantity.
Would changing the BSEG line in this situation still have an impact on CO?
Thanks
You would agree with me that the best way to do this is to correct the quantity in originating document / process rather than directly changing the follow-on (FI) document.
However, see if adding BSEG-MENGE (for the required account type) in transaction code OB32 serves your requirement.
