Document Splitting in S/4

Hi Experts,

I need your help in understanding the following configuration & their use cases in Document splitting.

1. Zero Balance Clearing Account

In Zero balance clearing Account configuration, there is an account key 001- CO Posting primary. I need to understand under what circumstances and for which type of transactions we maintain the GL account under this configuration node and what are the other use cases for this.

2. Document Splitting Characteristics for controlling.

- Under what circumstances we maintain this configuration with the Real Estate Key & can you give an example of how the splitting works w.r.t to accounting entries when we provide additional characteristics here like Cost center or Internal order.

3. List of Business processes like EBS or MBS where we need to maintain default profit center for document splitting.
