System generating delivery note even when delivery block enabled
Hi there,
Check if there is a delivery block enabled at the sales order type VOV8.
Also check in the sales order --> shipping view if the delivery block is updated.
If yes, then system will not allow you to create delivery unless it is manually removed.
When you mean delivery note, is it the printout of the delivery note or the delivery itself.

As you know that delivery blocks can be assigned manually in the sales order by entering the desired block in the headeru2019s shipping view of the sales document. if we want the block to be automatically
proposed for specific sales document types, we can set the delivery block in the sales document
type for which we want to automatically block. This is done in the Shipping area of the Define
sales document types menu.

However, this delivery block is only effective if this delivery block has been assigned in the
respective delivery document type.
Also check the delivery blocking reasons...
You can stop a sales document from having a delivery created by the delivery due list by setting
the delivery due list indicator. If the indicator is set, the system will not create the delivery when
using the delivery due list. It will only allow the delivery to be created manually. Thus, it is
possible to deliver such sales orders, but only individually and manually.
