delete the distribution channel from material master

dear gurus,

I have create a material on a distribution channel 10, and than extend it to distribution channel 20, now I want to block the material from distribution channel 10.

is it possible to block the extended distribution channel or the original distribution channel.

looking for the gurus feedback.

You can use Distribution-chain-specific material status field on sales view of the material. Choose the correct Sales org and distr chl in MM02, assign the correct status.

The status has to be configured in Logistics General - Material Master - Settings for Key Fields - Data Relevant to Sales and Distribution -Define Sales Statuses.

when a user is creating a sales order for that dchnl, system will throw an error/warning based on your configuration.
