Hi all,
In cost analysis, total qty is computed as Total Plan Quantity= (standard quantity/ Base quantity)x Planned Quantity of product. But when we tried to compute one material in the order, there's a difference between our computation and the qty in the analysis.
Total Plan Quantity= (standard quantity/ Base quantity)x Planned Quantity of product
= (3.777/10,000)
= 0.0003777 * 20,850
= 7.875 (in the system is 7.635, pls refer to the screenshots)
What is the correct formula to compute Total Plan Quantity?
We need help please.....
Hi
Check if you have used any scrap % for the component you are showing in first screen shot.
Second screen shot is not able to view due to some issue, can you provide component overview screen with operation and component scrp % then it is better to understand.
As you said formula for total plan quantity is correct,
Total plan quantity = (BOM quantity / base quantity) * order quantity

Hi
Also check
1. If you can see the operation scrap or component scrap % entered in the BOM for the component.
2. Check if you are using any alternative unit of measure and difference in calculation with respect to decimals
3. Are you using any material quantity calculation or active ingredient mechanism?
Bets regards,
Sharat
Hi ann grabato,
As per you the Order qty 20850,this is planned qty. But in screen which is provided by you is showing actual qty is 20820 instead of 20850. Based on actual qty in production order the multiplication is taking place for cost analysis. We can revise your formula as below :
Actual qty of component = (Component qty / Base qty)*Actual order qty.
Even we change order qty to actual qty as 20820 we are still not matching to 7635,
You have to go in depth to understand the actual triggering quantities and scrap any where you have maintained like material master, BOM, Routing, In production order level.
Check component overview screen in Production order level not in BOM level.
Check and revert back.
Thanks,
