Hello,
Could you please advise:
I have BOM created for 1PC and the costing size in material master data is 1 PC as well. My qestion is can I run the cost estimate CK11N for costing lot size 100 PC. What is the best practice or should I change the costing size in material mster to 100 PC even if BOM for 1 PC?
Thank you in advance for your advice
When you have lot size 1 the system shows the price as 0 due to rounding off. In this case you can run the cost estimate for 100/1000 units and maintain this as costing lot size. The costing lot size affects if you have activity cost related to set up time. If it is not there then you will not have much variation (except for rounding difference).
I suggest you ask your PP consultant as what is the normal production lot. Tell him to maintain it in BOM and then you update the costing lot size and take costing run.
If it happens to be 1 then you can modify your costing lot to 100 and take the costing run.
Best,
Sangram
