CJ20N Settlement Rule Trick

Dear Experts,

Sometimes we face with Projects that has more then 300 - 400 WBS'es. And in some situations we have to make settlement rule as all the WBS'es has to deliver their costs to one step upper WBS in hierarchy like it works as stepping ladders until it reaches to the top.

Only way i know to do this is to sign each WBS into settlement rule one by one.

Is there any solution or a quicker, easier way to deal with this situation?

You can configure Settlement Rule Strategies to automatically create settlement rules. SAP offers a method in the strategies to do what you want but you have to activate it with a SAP Note because it is not recommended to do what you are asking.

With so many WBS elements and all settling "up the chain" you are making a lot of unnecessary postings. Settling this way doesn't really have any advantages. Another approach is to copy the settlement rule of the superior WBS element. With this you minimize postings and achieve the same end result.
