BOM Application

hello everyone！

        when I define BOM Application，I just know When displaying the BOM through transaction code CS12,Right BOM usage will be displayed according to the settingsmaintained。can you tell me other impacted and more place I can use it。

Hello

The BOM application is mainly use to determine the BOM through the selection ID.

This is used to define the BOM selection in the production order (OPL8 settings)

Its also define alternative BOM determination and production version will be used for the production order or not (OS30 settings).

Also have a look on the help document maintained against the OS30.

SPRO - production - Basic data - BOM - alternative determination - Define application (Document).

Hello,

BOM explosion depends on how the BOM application is defined. For example, a BOM application can define priorities for BOM usages.

In many transactions and reports it is used. You can check the transactions like OPL8, COR4

Hi Zhen,

BOM Application having multiple functionality.

As you can seen in your first screen

1.EXP MRP: It means that specific BOM will Explode in MRP Run.

2.Planned order: BOM will explode in Planned orders

3.Release Costing : It means BOM Release for costing.

Also you can assign BOM application to Production order type config (OPL8) to trigger different functionality.
