I have some confusion regarding my career.
Background
I have done my Engineering in 2008 in EC & subseq I have done my MBA in marketing from India in 2010 , I do have experience of working in prestigious Bank for about 4 years at Managerial grade with eccelent track record , I have use CRMNext extesively as end user (sales & marketing).
Now I moved to USA few months ago as GC Holder , to SF Bay area , I want to look ahead career once again in Technology field as
I did my Bechelore in Engineering , Now I also want to use of my experience in making of my career in SAP ,
My ques.

you can try SAP CRM . For this on certification you can contact any authorized training provider (siemens is an example).
Sales force is purely a cloud prd. CRM is on premise (cloud also available- can be ). Both are good - Choose wise decision.
You can go functional. Technical will be tough for you
try also HANA or emerging technologies of sap. google to find more

SAP CRM is best but now SAP bought Salesforce and have good review on this. Still I personally suggest you to go for SAP CRM.
I should go for Functional or technical side ?
Functional is best fit as you have relevant CRM expereince.

Its fine , i diidnt said to remove it .
logically SF acquisition is not that easy as it is a $ 4 B dollar Co.
Their CRM is fantastic as like SAP.
