Hi,
We are using an action with class CL_DOC_PROCESSING_ORDER, method CRM_SRVORDER_EXEC_SMART_FORM to send an email with a PDF attachment of our service estimates.
We would like to add some text to the body of the email - i.e. "Please find attached the estimate for your service job"
How can this be done? Can I use the above method or do I have to do something else programatically.

This would definitely need to be done programatically. I have looked at this and the smartforms processing controls the actual attachment of the file. However I have not found any user-exits myself that can actually control this functionality. I don't believe right now you can do this out of the system, based on the debug of the smartform output sending to the mailing subsystem.
However you might want to post a similar question in the ABAP forum and ask the following:
In release 620, how can you add text to the mail message that is generated from e-mailing a smartform. I need to add a small message to the body of the message in addition to the attachment.
