Businesses have a distinct opportunity to impact what matters most – and collaboration is a significant part of being in the center of it all. For over 27 years, Americas' SAP Users' Group (ASUG) has been an important source of peer-to-peer engagement, exclusive insights, and best practices that are helping North America-based SAP customers accelerate their success.

ASUG continues this tradition at this year’s ASUG Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, held in conjunction with SAPPHIRE NOW. But with so much to see and learn at ASUG Annual Conference and SAPPHIRE NOW, it’s tough to see everything that’s available to you.

Most likely, you’re attending the events to gather information that will empower your business to accomplish specific goals. You may want to know how to tackle complex challenges such as creating a strategy to adopt new technology such as SAP S/4HANA or planning and rolling out an effective change management program. Or perhaps you are looking for new ways to reduce costs while increasing ROI with new investments in SAP solution.

The underlying theme of “how” plagues every business throughout a major initiative. This is where ASUG’s diverse agenda of education sessions – especially those covering SAP services and support – for its annual conference can help.

For six years, I have been the SAP point of contact for this community. I’m always inspired by the content positioned by this community because it helps guides attendees on “how” something was accomplished successfully or “how” an end goal was attained with a variety of real-life customer stories, insightful research findings, and thought-provoking thought leadership.

This year’s line-up of educational presentations and forums will, without a doubt, deliver the same sense of inspiration. Here’s a quick snapshot of the top three sessions that I am looking forward to attending.

Pick #1: How Breakthru Beverage Leveraged the SAP Pathfinder Report to Break Through

To help Breakthru Beverage engage in a business improvement project to complement its SAP solution road map, it took advantage of SAP Innovation and Optimization Pathfinder, a free service that provides customers with a personalized report. Find out how the report enabled Breakthru to define ways to align IT and business stakeholders and jointly identify and implement goals and critical optimization areas for the company’s IT landscape.

Pick #2: Toyota Canada and IBM Sprint to Launch SAP S/4HANA

Mark Swallow from IBM and Kim George from Toyota Canada will share project insights and lessons learned from how they implemented SAP S/4HANA 1610 as an agile project by using the IBM ascend method based on SAP Activate. Discover how the SAP Activate innovation adoption framework helped them stay on target with the project’s scope, schedule, and budget.

Pick #3: Cargill's Best-Practice Super-User Program: Why Leadership Matters

Marsha Henry, Cargill’s Global IT Change Management Leader, and Claudia Faerber, SAP Education Senior Solution Architect, present Cargill’s super-user program and why leadership is a crucial factor for sustaining a thriving super-user community.
