Did you know that a BPC implementation that has excellent performance in user acceptance testing can still have serious issues under load? That's why it's critical for companies undertaking this type of project to perform load testing within their systems.

By performing a  load test you'll be able to better quantify the impact of any system changes on your environment.  One of the most effective ways to perform automated load testing in BPC is using HP LoadRunner. By performing these tests, you'll be able to better determine if your application server is properly sized to support your user base.

In order to assist in the development of LoadRunner Scripts, SAP has released BPC LoadRunner toolkits for both BPC 7.5 and EPM 10. When performing Load Tests make sure you are testing both your predicted daily load as well as your Peak Hour performance, which should represent your highest server utilization. By utilizing Load testing, will you be able to quantify the impact of increasing server resources giving you the chance to secure additional hardware for your go-live, if needed.

For even more tips on overcoming BPC performance issues, make sure and attend JS Irick of TruQua Enterprises' session, Key success factors guaranteed to drive optimal utilization of SAP EPM applications, at the upcoming Financials 2015 event in Las Vegas, March 17-20. In addition to delivering 5 sessions covering BPC, EPM, Simple Finance, and SAP HANA, TruQua will also be exhibiting at the conference. For more information, visit  www.financials2015.com.
