Work processes are remaining in used if EDI upload fails - time out (60 minutes) seems not to work ...

Hello SAP NetWeaver Administration community,

(I hope I am in the correct community to ask my question)

We having on our ABAP servers time out defined.

After 60 minutes, users are logged off - of SAP GUI, if they are inactive.

That works so far.

We having in our warehouse a process, that uploads EDI files via SAP GUI and writes them to OS of SAP ABAP server via NFS (if I understood the process correctly).

If something goes wrong on this EDI processes (network time out or other issue), the work processes remain in transaction SM66/SM50/SM51.

Program names are SAPLEDI7, SAPLSF01.

We are not able to cancel the work process (with/without core in transaction SM50, nor SM66, nor cancel the session via SM04).

We have to kill the work process via OS.

Background info: We just upgraded to ECC 6.0 EHP 5 and our SAP kernel is max 3 months old ...

I was looking for solution concerning the issue, but I wasn't able to find something helpful so far for the situation, why the time out is not working for the programs SAPLEDI7 and or SAPLSF01.

We are on AIX on our database sever and using Oracle 11.

Our app servers are using on Linux.
