What is the functionality of ** in the Formula Edit

Could anyone tell me what the operator ** can be utilzed for in the BEx Query Designer Formula Editor?

Hi

If u want to find the square root,cube roots then ** will play vital role eg :5 ** 3 = 125.

Hello James,

The ** operator is used as the power of the value.

For example:

4**5 = 4*4*4*4*4 = 1024.

yes. If you want power value you need to use "**" value in formula.
