Hi,

I work in a SAP VAR, I've configured service desk scenario and other scenarios, I've registered some customers SAP Systems at SAP Solution Manager,

and all is OK. I've registered these SAP Systems using smsy transaction.

I've created a SAP System ECC 6.0 with SID=DES, this SAP System owns to Mercury Customer, I created this SAP System using smsy transaction and all is ok.

It's well registered at ib52 transaction. Now, I've other customer, name is Onix. Onix customer has SAP SAP System ECC 6.0 with SID=DES too.

So, when I try create this SAP System a pop-up error appears at transaction smsy: "System already exists. Change or enhance the system name". I attached a word file with screenshot pop-up error.

Please could you help me?

Thanks and Reagrds

Raul

Hi Raul,

Usually we follow a concept called SIDCID (SID: SID of the SAP system, CID: Customer ID), which allows unique identificaiton of systems with same SIDs.

Hope this will help you.

If you have several systems with the same system ID, append a suffix, e.g. a sequential number, to the system ID. The system name, including the suffix, must not be longer than six characters.
