Test Script composition has been modified in an incompatible way.

Dear Community,

I'm using Test Suite on Solution Manager 7.2 SP 10 and recently I have encountered a following issue:

While trying to create a Test Script, I cannot view the script. Instead I am getting the following message:

"Test Script composition has been modified in an incompatible way. Please use transaction "Extended Computer Aided Test Tool"(SECATT) for script editing."

Not sure if that helps, but I'm creating the test script using an eCATT recording uploaded manually from another system through SECATT. I have been re-uploading recordings multiple times - the error would persist. I have also tried to use an eCATT recording which was imported using transport.

Hello Michal,

The recommended approach to create automated test script is either through Solution Documentation by right clicking and selecting Create Test Configuration within the Object area or to create the Test configuration / Test Script within the tile Test Repository Test Configuration or Test Script.

Its not recommended to create Test Configuration/Script through SECATT. Opening the Test script created in any of the above 2 approaches in edit mode in SECATT leads to inconsistency.

Dear Michal,

Did you try executing the report AGS_SMT_MASS_FIX_NOTE2504052

SP10 is a higher version but same issue is reported in note 2504052 - Activation issue: cannot see the script of some of your Test in TCE anymore which brings this report for correction in the system.

Yes, actually I have found this note, and I did run the report (it didn't return any errors), but unfortunately the issue persists.
