Table T1 is too long (005242 bytes); Maximum 004030 bytes allowed

Hello SCN Experts,

                                      I am facing error - 'Table /BIC/Axxxxx00 is too long (005242 bytes); Maximum 004030 bytes' while activating Write-optimized DSO.

I saw 1 thread regarding the same but the option given in it is not helping my case.

currently my system is SAP BW 7.4 SP 007 on MSSQL release 10.00.2531.00 though the warning has come I tried activating the DSO but it's not getting activated.

I have added 117 InfoObjects in the data fields.

as per system's information, DSO should get activated but not sure why the error is coming. can the MSSQL server be a reason for not allowing to activate?

please help me.

Hello Priyanka,

Please follow this Note: 1512035 and the below thread.

Info Object activation failing - table is too l... | SCN

You cannot add more fields as the overall length of table cannot be more than 4096 bytes, but you can delete some unused fields or reduce the length as per SAP 7.3

Please check if this applies for 7.4 version as well
