SolMan JANA system install

i need to migrated our SolMAn system to another SID
and i need to understand is that required to install JAVA system or only ABAP system is ok

in new system is required to migrate JAVA system or i can take in installation for JAVA

Hi Customer,

In most cases, it is required that both ABAP and JAVA are present, this means that both ABAP and JAVA need to be installed. You can migrate JAVA or install a new JAVA, this depend on if you have any concerns about migrating or installing a new JAVA.

additional comment:

for the full functionality of Solman it is mandatory to have the JAVA application server - it is also important to patch this instance on the latest Patchlevels - because this is one of the common issues later!
