SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.51 SP02 on ASE - Catalog service is unavailable - please try again

Good morning,

I'm trying to create an application using SAP Web IDE and I'm getting the "famous" error "Catalog service is unavailable - please try again".

I've already checked all the related threads and so far no luck. In my case I'm not getting to the catalog service, an error occurs before that. In the browser log I get the error in a different call :

https://webidecp-XXXXXXXXXtrial.dispatcher.hanatrial.ondemand.com/destinations/cloud/sap/bc/adt/ato/...

The error returned is : HTTP Status 500 - An internal application error occurred. Request: 808455759 XXXXXXXXXXtrial:webidecp

The cloud connector, destinations, etc. are all working fine. I've tried with http and https.

Have you checked that the adt service in Transaciton SICF is active?

Hi gregorw , it works but I don't need to use the cloud connector for that.

Then please deploy HTML5UserAPI and try to access the Backend that you've connected via the Cloud Connector with the ping services.

Hi gregorw , the ping does not work either. I tried changing the host name, with "dummy.nodomain" and without it.

The services are up ( activated both in SICF )

The connections are ok

Same issue here, I checked the servies and as I see the ADT tools are not activated, and I cannot activate....Anyone ?

yes, it´s active. I tried only with this service active and then I activated everything.I the other threads about this issue, when it was not active, it would fail in the service call, but in my case apparently doesn't get there, it fails before.

Please check the error logs of Web IDE and your Cloud Connector

Hi gregorw , nothing in the gateway log, checked /IWFND/ERROR_LOG and nothing in the log files in the cloud connector. Is there anything specific I could check ?
