hi all

i need help on this issue regarding our sap hana client.

our user cannot connect to hana server when the user account on suse linux is logout

i just don't understand why user cannot connect to sap hana server

really appreciate for the help you can extend

Hi Elinus,

That sounds troubling: can you clarify if you think this a problem with the HANA client not connecting or the HANA server not being available? There are some other questions that would help us better understand your situation that maybe you can help explain:

Where is the SAP HANA server located in relation to the client? Which service or product can't connect to SAP HANA? Can other users connect? Which client interface are you using to connect? Do you have any logs or screenshots to share about the problem that could help us diagnose where the problem is occurring?

thank you so much for your prompt reply

our saphana is installed on physical server with OS Suse Linux Enterprise Server sp2

our users are connecting through a sap client

now the issue is user cannot connect to sap hana client saphana.jpg

to able to connect we must connect to suse server and leave the account open and if we logout from suse

the user will not able to connect

I hope you you have solution on this
