SAAS to On-Prem Fiori Launchpad

Hi All,

First of all, hope all are keeping safe and fine..

As part of an on-going SuccessFactors implementations, we are looking for some guidance around high level architecture to integrate on-prem Fiori Launchpad as an external link within SuccessFactors. At the moment we would not want to route it through SCP Fiori Launchpad or Portal Sites unless there are no other options. So kind of a direct connectivity through cloud connector and pointing directly to Hub Gateway end points for both Frontend and Backend packages.

We are planning to have a hybrid deployment when it comes to Time Management and the idea is to basically integrate ECC Time Management Fiori apps and publish then onto SF.

Many thanks for your time on this in advance.

Regards,

Sitakant.

Dear Sitakant,

Did you manage to achieve this requirement. If yes it would be great help if you can share some inputs here.

Thanks!

Hi Lohit,

we eventually dropped the idea because our tech stack lagged behind to even enable activating the Time Management FIORI apps on ECC.

However, when I look back, this entire question is around enterprise security and could be a simple question as to how to allow access to on-prem/private cloud resources from public domain. In my head, you would have to do the following:

  • Work on activating the Fiori Launchpad and the required apps for time management. This would need diving into tech stack to figure out if all the necessary frontend and backend packages/components are available to enable this.
  • Talk to the Cloud and Security architects to understand and align with access to resources within enterprise network. This would differ and depend on what cloud provider or on-prem options you have.

Hope this helps...
