Dear all,

Our SAP QA and PROD systems works properly. We will do the upgrade in sap. In the demo test system for upgrade, we get the following error when logging into the report accident event screen in the EHS module.

"........ system user has not been assigned a business partner”

Message no. CM_EHFND_COMN180

Error details

Technical exception No technical exception available

Error description "........" has not been assigned to the system user as a business partner.

Additional information not available.

Our user has the relevant authorizations and he is our staff, not the supplier. I wonder if there is a need for an additional role in the upgrade process or do we need to add something from the BP transaction code. In the BP transaction code on the forum pages, it is written that the BUP005 identifier feature should be added to the relevant user. But it didn't work for us.

What exactly should we do? With which transaction code or table can we solve it? Or maybe new relevant authorizations?

Thank you so much for your help.

Best Regards,

Serdar

Hello,

I assume you upgrading from ECC (or an S4 version lower than 1809) to S4/1809 or higher. In S4/1809 EHS and higher, users must have an Employee Business Partner created through the new "Business User" concept. This Busines Partner cannot be manually created using the old Business Partner Tcodes. The Business User concept is a linkage between the (1) HR Employee (PERN), (2) User ID and (3) Employee Business Partner. There is a new non-HR Employee object (App F2288A) that must be maintained for customers who do not use SAP HR or HR mini masters. There are critical settings that must be made in table T77S0 that control the process of how the Business Users and ultimately the Employee Business Partners are created. There is a detailed note on this topic 2570961. Additionally, there is an Open SAP Couse available on this topic called "New Employee Business Partner Model on SAP S/4HANA" that details additional new functionalities and requirements in S4/2020 and higher.

In a demo/prototyping environment, it is probably easiest to turn off HR/BP integration in T77S0, create your Employee record using F2288A, then run the BP creation jobs defined in Note 2570961. This process will create the required Employee Busines Partner to report Incidents in IM and report Change Requests in MOC. However, it's doubtful this is the best long-term solution for you.
