IDT - Web Service "Attempted read from closed stream"

I've created a universe on top of a Web Service (based on a SAP BW Function module) as described in the thread:

However I get the following error when trying to view values or to create a WebI document on top of the universe (the error is also mentioned in the comments of the above thread):

I found the OSS note: 1998298 which matches perfectly, but it contains no solution. It just states: "This issue has been forwarded to Development for further investigation".

Has anyone found a solution for this issue?

Hi, I have the same issue as "Former Member" on "Mar 31, 2016 at 01:37 PM"

Is there accidently somebody who found a solution for this ? We are on BI 4.2 SP7.5
