HANA Express 2.0 SPS 04 Release?

Now that SPS 04 for SAP HANA is released to customers, is there already an estimated release date for the HANA Express edition?

At TechEd is was mention that a new version of SAP HANA Express would follow 2-3 weeks after a new release of SAP HANA. SPS04 was released on 05.04.19 (2.00.040.0) and 13.06.19 (2.00.041.0). Has SAP HANA Express been abandoned?

I would love to give the HANA R API (PAL) a try. This is only available in SPS 04. So I m eagerly waiting for a SPS 04 HXE. Any news?

Hi all - HXE 2.0 SPS04 is still in the current plan. Unfortunately, there have been some delays compared to the normal release cycle mentioned above. The team is working to resolve any open issues so that we can target to get the release out sometime this quarter - hopefully before end of August.

akregar , Henrik Damhøj Andersen, Georg Schukat , as promised, SPS04 VM and binaries are now available for download. Docker is also updated to SPS04.

Upgrade from rev 36 in cloud environment is also working for me.

Hello Uwe,

I was also dancing for some minutes. But.

Was anyone able to update HXE to SPS04 (binary)? I tried to upgrade from rev 36 and it failed.

I also tried to install from scratch. Installation was working fine for the DB. But the installation of XSA failed again.

What I like best was the proposal to provide feedback - which was not possible due to the fact that the system was not working anymore.

This were the last words of my HXE:
