Hi,
I would like to address the following feature request:
Problem: When working with business objects in Signavio Process Intelligence our users sometimes struggle with relating the attribute names to the actual data in SAP. Some users prefer the naming in "natural language", others prefer the technical names (table and field names).
Current situation:
1) We are currently maintaining a documentation aside from the actual Intelligence Dashboards where we translate the natural language names to the field names and vice versa. This documentation is not accepted well, as users want to have the information in the tool where they actually work in.
2) For one dashboard we have named the attributes with both: The natural language plus the table and field name. This resolves the issue of having to look things up in a different space, but results in very long column/attribute names and lots of waisted space in the dashboard:
Feature Request:
We would like to request some sort of rule, that - if applied in the backend - results in splitting the attribute names by a given parameter (eg. a | (pipe symbol)), so that the part before the pipe becomes the actual attribute name, and the part after the name can be retrieved through a mouse-over, wherever the attribute is used (e.g. in the filtering options, in column names when displaying data in tables, etc...):
This would save space in the actual dashboard and still allow for additional context where needed.
Best, Anna
Hello Anna,
We have acknowledged the request and passed it on to the product management team. Thank you for the feedback!
Best regards
Jessica
