EP 7.4 - WPC - Delta Link a WPC Page to a Role

Hi Experts,

I have come across a scenario, where I need to delta link WPC Pages in the Roles created under Portal Content.

I don't want to create an area for each and every page and then set a connection in the role. My scenario is that, I will have multiple pages under the areas, each and every page under the area would be used by different roles.

Is there a way to achieve the delta links of WPC Pages?

Hi Anil,

Not Yet, my question is can we delta link a WPC Page instead of linking it to a role via a connection. Because I have to delta link around 50 WPC pages across 50 Portal roles, so it would be of around 2500 new connection on the roles.

Hello Palani,

There is one alternative solution for this issue. Try following steps,

1) Add all the pages under single area ad publish.

2) Then add this area to role by adding connection.

3) After that instead of adding pages add this role to the 50 existing groups (for 50 different roles).

4) Now for each group if you want to display only one page (or any number of pages among 50), that you can achieve by doing this,

     i) Go to Accessible Area management then expand area.

     ii) Now open one of the page and open permissions.

     iii) By default "Everyone" will have read access, remove that.

     iv) Now add groups for which you want to show this page.
